Julia has specialised in sustainable and responsible investment (SRI) for nearly three decades. She is a passionate advocate for change, believing that focusing on sustainability is both necessary and financially astute. Julia has run her own business, SRI Services, since 2010. SRI Services is primarily focused on helping financial services professionals to build sustainable investment into their businesses. Their focus is the open, ‘whole of SRI market’, Fund EcoMarket database tool. Their information is free to use as it is supported by 24 fund partners. Awarded ‘Best Sustainable & ESG Support Provider’ by Investment Week in 2021 their work is specialised but diverse, working with a number of B2B and B2C fund platforms and portfolio providers. Julia is also a regular presenter, media commentator and award judge. Julia is also on the FCA’s Disclosure and Labels Advisory Group (DLAG) and the BSI (fund PAS 7342) sustainable funds steering group. She is the technical author of the PIMFA ESG Academy, has also served three (non-consecutive) terms as a director at not-for-profit industry association UKSIF. Julia previously ran the sustainable investment area in Friends Provident – now part of Aviva (1996-2008), having first become involved whist at NPI – now part of Janus Henderson (1989- 1994).
